Empowering communities with digital and job skills

Tech4Girls Project

Tech 4 Girls is an initiative running hands on educational workshops for girls, where participants learn about different technologies, hear from industry leaders and gain a better understanding of careers in tech.

In partnership we https://www.w4.org/en/ , we held a 5 day workshop that introduced 57 girls to ecommerce , online safety and gave them their first experience of an online conference.

The winning team who designed an ecommerce store to improve access to reusable sanitary pads in their community were featured on the equals platform. https://www.equalsintech.org/post/tech4girls-uganda-winners

12 students from the Tech4Girls workshop were offered an 8 weeks EQUALS e-Mentorship programme where they were matched with mentors who contributed to their professional and personal development.

This initiative is powered by the EQUALS global partnership for digital gender equality in partnership with GSMA and W4.
